Homophobic Man Tries to Enter A Gay Bar

That sounds like the beginning of a terrible joke, right?

Reese Buhr is a homophobe, yet he tried to enter a gay club. He was denied entry because he may have used homophobic slurs. Did he spew homophobic bigotry while waiting in line for the club that night? I don’t know; I wasn’t there. Did he spew disgusting, homophobic statements on camera for the world to see after being ejected from the line? Yes.

After being rejected from 441 Main in Winnipeg, Canada, Buhr pulled out his phone and started to livestream.

Then why does he want to go into a gay club anyway? Why would a homophobic person want to go into an LGBTQ space in the first place?

In 1969, Canada decriminalized homosexuality. Buhr went on to say that being gay should be a sin again.

Later on, the owner of the gay bar, Nikola Maharajh, came forward and spoke to CityNews. He stated that one of his security guards, Fardad, caught someone spewing homophobic statements. The security guard forbid Buhr from entering the club, which is his job.

Buhr went on to make a second video thanking the people that agreed with his homophobic rant.

If Buhr hadn’t been saying homophobic things in the line, he wouldn’t have been turned away. If he wasn’t homophobic, he wouldn’t have hopped on a live stream and began to shout nothing but homophobic things. What Buhr did proved that the security guard was right to keep him out of the club.
