Three people died on Tuesday, when a key gas pipeline in the Republic of Chuvashia in western Russia caught fire. The pipeline also connects Russia to Ukraine and Europe. Additionally, several fighter jets and helicopters have crashed recently, as well as two warehouses that were on fire in the course of last week.
A mysterious series of blazes continues to trail through Russia. The causes for many of these explosions are still unknown. In my opinion, there is a wide range of possible explanations:
Partisan actions, bad maintenance, insurance fraud, or a lack of spare parts due to sanctions are on top of my list. A considerable number of Russian fighter aircraft also fell from the sky lately. For example, several Mig31 in the past few months and many other aircraft such as helicopters or military transport planes and even a modern Su34 bomber.

The Chuvashia gas pipeline
The fire, which emergency services said has now been extinguished, erupted near the village of Yambakhtino, around 600 kilometers east of Moscow.
Local emergency services said the blast occurred during planned repairs on the Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhgorod pipeline, which is also known as the Brotherhood pipeline.
The pipeline, which passes through Ukraine, is one of the main gas links from Russia to Europe. Therefore, I consider the attack to be rather targeted just as the attack last week on one of Russia’s biggest oil refineries.
