My Dad Should Be a Photographer

Look at the magic he created from an old iPhone

The above photo is beautiful, it deserves its own story.

My dad captured the sun as it was setting over Waldo Lake in Oregon. It’s the second deepest lake in Oregon, right after Crater Lake. Ten square miles of pure clean water. On a clear day, you could down to depths of 120 feet.

That’s some clear water.

My dad is always going to beautiful places, all around Oregon. He loves to hike and go camping. He even bought a kayak last summer.

I would have loved to see him wobble himself into the water.

When zombies take over or any disastrous thing happens, I know to be on my Dad’s team. He will take care of all of us.

That’s where he shines, in the wilderness. He has a way of staying calm and that’s a good quality to have in life. Especially if the zombies come and push us into the woods.

Come to think of it, he would love it.

He gets excited about thunder and lightning. When it’s stormy, he becomes giddy and hopes for the power to go out so we can use the candles to see. These things make me laugh but I share his love for storms.

So for him, the picture he showed me was no big deal. And really, I shouldn’t be surprised that he captured such a lovely sunset. He does cool stuff like that all the time. As kids, he took us on hikes and built outdoor shelters. There was always something fun to do with my Dad being so passionate about the outdoors.

He is a legend. He is an outdoorsman. He is a photographer, and he is one hell of a Dad. I love him and he better take me next time. Until then, I have some great pictures to look at.
