Hello from Pantoland!

This Christmas and New Year, I have had the privilege to join the brilliant team at Dreamstar IOM Productions in Pantoland for their magical production of ‘Aladdin’.

In the show I play PC Ping, a super-silly policeman who is the butt of many of the gags and is often found covered in custard pies, or even blown up!

However, ‘Aladdin’ also marks a milestone for me as a designer too in being the first stage show I have been the sole media partner for. This has included the responsibilities of designing all promotions for the show, for both print (posters, billboards, theatre front, and programmes), and social media (with a collection of fun short videos featuring the Magic Carpet and Genie of the Lamp).

It has been an absolute pleasure to work with such a fantastic team of local talent on the show, particularly the 80 young performers in the Dream and Star ensembles who truly give it their all every show. As is often the case with Panto, we just keep making the show better with every new performance, and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the run has in store.

If you’ve had the chance to come and see us all in Old Peking, I hope you’ve had a fabulous time, and I’d like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy 2018.

…oh yes I would.
